Who are we?

Vikboland School is located in a picturesque area of Vikbolandet, a rural environment with strong local ties. Vikboland School is a central part of the community and offers education from preschool class to grade 9, with an associated after-school program. We have about 55 employees at the school.

The school is in a development phase, where we see it as crucial that the management and staff work together to create long-term quality and high goal fulfillment. As a middle school teacher, you will be an important part of this work, where we collectively build structures and develop a safe, inclusive, and meaningful education for our students.

Your tasks:

We are looking for a mentor/teacher for grade 6 in science and technology as one of our teachers will be on parental leave. You will work closely with colleagues in a relational context where safety, participation, and learning are the focus.

You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on our governing documents.

You will be part of working groups and subject teams, collaborate with guardians, and contribute to collegial learning at the school. You will actively participate in the work of building and developing the school together with colleagues and the principal.

Who are you?

You are a licensed teacher and have qualifications in science and technology for middle school, as well as experience teaching in full classes. You may have experience in pedagogical work and working with low-affect responses.

You have the ability to create good relationships and teaching that meets students' different needs. You have good knowledge of Swedish both written and spoken.

You are a confident and engaged teacher with broad pedagogical competence and a relational approach. You enjoy working closely with students of different ages and see the value in creating structure, participation, and safety – both in the classroom and in collegial collaboration.

You communicate clearly and confidently in speech, adapt your language to the audience, and ensure that students and guardians understand. You actively contribute to developing colleagues through collegial learning, experience exchange, and a coaching approach.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, sharing your knowledge and information. We are in an exciting development phase where we are building long-term and sustainable structures together.
